Wednesday runs usually start at the Lucie Stern Community Center in Palo Alto. Wednesday runs sometimes meet at alternate locations for special events, please check the calendar on our home page to know where the run will meet! We have a set of 8 different courses ranging from 5 to 7 miles that we cycle through during the year. Each course also has a shorter distance option. For the route schedule see the PARC Activity Calendar on our Home Page. We meet at 6:15pm, and after stretching and warming up, we'll have few announcements and introductions and the run starts at 6:30pm. On the last Wednesday of the month we go out after the run for our monthly club dinner at a local feeding spot. For more information about the Wednesday Night Run or Walk, contact the run coordinator, Jose Pizano: (jose_pizano@yahoo.com) Run Route Directions and Maps Printable directions for Wednesday Night Run routes: New Runners & Walkers PARC wants to encourage all beginning runners and walkers and while we would never turn away anyone who wants to run or walk with us, we do suggest that anyone who is new to running or walking with the club should be able to run continuously for a half hour at around a 12 min/mile pace or walk up to 45 minutes. If you're not quite at that level yet, we recommend running at the 6pm Thurs. night run hosted by the Palo Alto Lulumenon store @ 432 Univerisity Ave. which is at a much more social pace. Note: PARC does not organize the Lululemon run, please contact them for more accurate information. |
