May 2013 Trail Run

Skyline Four-Park Ridge Run
Saturday, May 11, 2013

This is an especially scenic run, traversing four open space preserves with 360-degree views from the ocean to the bay and multiple transitions between ridge lines and woods. Hopefully, we will experience the wildflowers at Russian Ridge Open Space Preserve, one of the best places to enjoy them in May.

When Saturday May 11, 2013. Meet at 8:20am for a run briefing with an 8:30am start. A self-organized carpool will depart at 7:50am from the Page Mill/280 Park&Ride (I will be coming by another route from the north). There is no parking fee at the Park&Ride nor at the vista point.

Where Vista Point on Skyline Blvd, just south of the Cloud's Rest Trail.

How to get there Take Page Mill Road south to Skyline Blvd. Turn right on Skyline and go 1.2 miles to the vista point on the right. GPS coordinates are: 37.32442, -122.20418.

What A long (12-mile, 4-park) route and a medium (7-mile, 2-park) route. These are remote trail runs and each runner must carry at least one water bottle. As usual, there will be a potluck after the run, at our beautiful vista point, so please bring food or drink to share.
