July Trail Run
Wunderlich County Park

We return to one of our most popular routes, Wunderlich Park in Woodside, for our July Trail Run. Wunderlich's trails are 99% shaded making this an ideal summer morning run. Also, this run is close to Palo Alto. The planned short course route is shorter than usual making this a good run for beginning trail runners. And the variety of interconnecting trails allow for on-the-run route creation to accommodate runs of whatever distance is right for you.
NOTE: To avoid collision with the Independence Day Holiday the July monthly trail run is on the second weekend of the month. Come celebrate Bastille Day on the trails with us.
When   Saturday, July 14, 2007. Meet at 8:15am for an 8:30am start. Carpool will leave at 7:45am from the Park&Ride lot at 280 and Page Mill Road.
Where   Wunderlich County Park, 4040 Woodside Rd, Woodside CA 94062. There is no parking fee. More park info can be found here.
How   to get there...
Take 280 North to Sand Hill Road. Take Sand Hill Road west to Portola Road. Turn right onto Portola Road. Continue on Portola Road to Woodside Road (Highway 84). Continue on Woodside Road (East/North) to the park entrance on the left hand side after a short distance.
What   A long (about 10.24 miles, 2000 feet vertical) and a short run (about 4.69 miles, 800 feet vertical).
This is a remote trail run and each runner must carry at least one water bottle.
To avoid having to search for lost runners we ask every runner to find other runners of approximately the same running ability to form a group. The runners in each group must be able to account for their partners to make sure nobody is left behind.
As usual, there will be a potluck after the run, so please bring food or drink to share.
