May Trail Run
Butano State Park
Sunday, May 1, 2005
The Club's May run takes us through extensive cool and whisper quiet Redwood groves. Soft single track trails make for happy legs. So this is a great run for those interested in trying out trail running. Car pooling is strongly encouraged as it's a bit of a drive out to the Coast.
When   Sunday May 1, 2005. Meet at 8:15am for an 8:30am start. Those who want to carpool meet at the 280/Page Mill Carpool parking lot. Yahoo Maps says that it's nearly a 90 minute drive, so car pools leave by 7:15am.
Where   Butano Park, Pescadero. We will meet at the first parking area past the entry kiosk. More park info.
Take 280 to 84 (Woodside Rd./La Honda Rd.) and head West to Hwy 1. Then South (left) on Hwy 1 for 4.6 miles. Take Pescadero Rd. East (left) for 2.6 miles. Turn right on Cloverdale Rd., 5 miles to the park entrance.
What   A long run (10 miles) and an intermediate run (6.2 miles). This is a remote trail run and each runner must carry at least one water bottle. As usual, there will be a potluck after the run, so please bring food or drink to share.
