March Trail Run
Ed R. Levin County Park
Sunday, March 6, 2005
In March we head back to the East Bay foothills (but with a shorter drive for most participants). Part of the long run is in Mission Peak Park.
When   Sunday March 6, 2005. Meet at 8:15am for an 8:30am start.
Those who want to carpool meet at the Mountain View Costco (Rengstorff Ave near 101). Find us in the parking lot on the Rengstorff side near Krispy Kreme. This month, the carpool leaves at 7:45am.
Where   Ed R. Levin County Park, 3100 Calaveras Rd., Milpitas, CA 95035. Bring $5 per vehicle for park entrance fee. More park info.
Take 237 East to Milpitas. After crossing 880, 237 splits. Take the slight left turn onto East Calaveras Blvd. East Calaveras Blvd. becomes Calaveras Rd. Follow Calaveras Rd. to Downing Rd., where the Park entrance is. Follow Downing Rd. to the Sandy Wool Lake Parking area.
What   A long (about 12.9 miles, 1,900 feet vertical) and a short run (about 6.8 miles, 1600 feet vertical). This is a remote trail run and each runner must carry at least one water bottle. As usual, there will be a potluck after the run, so please bring food or drink to share (chips, cookies, fruit drinks, bagels, nut mix, cheese, and such).
Why   If the weather cooperates, we'll have a nice view of the Bay Area from both Monument and Mission Peaks.
