In June the monthly trail run is in the Santa Cruz Moutains again. The distance from Palo Alto is shorter than for last month's venue. The dense forest should protect us from the sun.
When Sunday June 5, 2005. Meet at 8:15am for an 8:30am start. Carpool will leave at 7:45am from the Park&Ride lot at 280 and Page Mill Road.

Take Page Mill Road to Skyline Boulevard and cross Skyline. Continue for 3 miles on Alpine Road. Turn left onto Portola State Park Road. Pay the fee at the Park Headquarters and continue across the bridge to the Ramada Group Day Use Area, where we will meet.
What A long (about 11.1 miles, 2000 feet vertical) and a short run (about 5.2 miles, 1000 feet vertical). This is a remote trail run and each runner must carry at least one water bottle. As usual, there will be a potluck after the run, so please bring food or drink to share.
Why Run in a dense forest which should allow for cool temperatures on soft trails.
