Trail Run Sunday - Windy Hill

Join us for PARC's next Monthly Trail run on Sunday July 10th, when we run (or walk) Windy Hill's shaded switch-backed and runnable trails summiting at one of the most inspiring vistas in the Bay area with surreal grass covered hills dropping away at your feet towards the Bay, and views of the Pacific, Mt. Diablo, Mt. Tam, and the San Andreas Fault all right there on a clear day. This run is close to Palo Alto, so no surprise that Windy Hill is PARC's favorite Monthly Trail Run route.  Meet us…See More

TRAIL RUN --- COYOTE HILLS --- PARC & BARF at Don Edwards NWF Parking Lot

April 9, 2016 from 6pm to 7pm
This month we meet the friendly East Bay running group with the oddly disturbing acronym, BARF (Bob & Rick's Funruns), for our biennial PARC & BARF at Coyote Hills Regional Park just across the Bay from Palo Alto. BARF typically brings a big group to this location so there will be pace groups with for all from walkers to as fast as you like. The routes take us far out into the East Bay levee system and then up into…See More

Run alongside the San Andreas Fault

While standing over the printer as it printed the maps for tomorrow's run, I noticed the text towards the upper right "San Andreas Rift". Indeed one of the delights of this route is running several miles (more for the medium run) right along one of the Earth's most massive features, the 1,300km long San Andreas Fault. The forecast could hardly be more ideal with temps in the 50s and clear. See you there, 8:15am tomorrow.See More
