Return to Angel Island! June 8th --- PARC Monthly Trail Run at Angel Island

June 8, 2014 from 7:30am to 3:30pm
It's a trail run... it's a City run... there's a ferry ride (two, actually)... it's on an island... and... there's dim sum!  On June 8th, PARC's Monthly Trail Run returns to Angel Island! We last did this event 4(!) years ago and there have been frequent requests for a repeat, of course! All in one day enjoy world class views, work up an appetite running in a truly unique setting, appreciate memorable historic artifacts from several epochs, and then gather for Dim Sum in China Town. On the…See More

Bay to Breakers opportunities ---- Comped Entry & Sub-seeded start, Private Bus

On the fence regarding running B2B, then just do it and do it in comfort and even for free if qualified. Here's the deals.Comped Entry & Sub-seeded start  - the catch, you need to be over 50 and able/interested to run the entire course in the close company of 12 others. Its a lot of fun, really! For many of the past dozen years or so, Marty & I have run with a group of guys several of whom were the originators of the Centipede category. Along with many other oddly fun concepts, B2B…See More

Monthly Trail Run - Arastradero & Foothills Parks at 1530 Arastradero Rd, Palo Alto, CA 94304 (Arastradero Open Space Preserve)

February 16, 2014 from 8:15am to 11:30pm
Starting in Palo Alto's Arastradero Park, we run up and into Foothills Park through the 'secret' gate. Hilly for sure, but not extreme, with fabulous single track for about half of the route, this is the classic Palo Alto trail run. The Foothill Park section of the route offers Peninsula and Bay views as well as a sense of the wild.  The long route runs 3 miles along the beautiful, and now flowing(!), Los Trancos Creek. Mapped routes of 7.3 & 13.6 miles.See More

DECEMBER 2013 TRAIL RUN --- ALMADEN QUICKSILVER COUNTY PARK

This month PARC's trail run heads south to Almaden Quicksilver where the route starts with wide open vistas and ends on a fabulous long wooded single track back to the parking.
