Home Run Beneficiaries
The event is organized by the Stanford chapter of Habitat
for Humanity. The proceeds of this year's race will benefit the Peninsula
Habitat for Humanity, the Silicon
Valley Habitat for Humanity, and Global
Partners for Development .
Habitat for Humanity seeks to eliminate poverty housing
and homelessness through a philosophy of "partnership housing," in which
families in need work side by side with volunteers to build adequate
housing.
Global Partners for Development matches people and resources
with community development projects to foster economic development,
improve health, increase access to education and end hunger.
